RFC Challenge

This event is for sabre and foil fencers in competitive levels 1 and 2 as well as teen beginner fencers at the RFC. An epee competition is also held at the same time and is open to all levels. As always, we love having non RFC fencers join us for the fun! NON MEMBERS ARE WELCOME!!!! Please note that registration CLOSES at 1:30pm.

FORMAT: One or two rounds of pools (depending on number of participants,) followed by direct elimination rounds  - 8-touch bouts/ two 2-minute periods; fence-off for every place – A LOT OF FENCING!

Points for placing in these events will be awarded as follows:

• 1st place = 15 points
• 2nd place = 14 points
• 3rd place = 13 points
• etc.

(If there are fewer than 16 participants, subtract 5 points for each place.)

You can earn prizes and galaxy-wide bragging rights by compiling big point totals through the season.

DATES AND TIMES FOR THE 2011-2012 SEASON

Check in begins at 1:30pm and fencing begins at 2pm. Please show up before the start time to make sure that registration is complete.

All dates listed are Saturdays. Most of the dates are the last Saturday of the month unless there is a national or other competition at the same time.
